Guild Society of Artists
December 15 2018 Earlier this year I was invited to become a member of the Guild Society of Artists (GSA), which was formed to help artists with their careers. The GSA awards qualifications to members who show a high level of professionalism in their work and business practice – the guild has various criteria to pass in order to qualify. I submitted several pieces and was delighted to qualify as an Associate of the Guild Society of Artists (AGSA). I am delighted to be recognised by this prestigious organisation and look forward to becoming involved with the guild and its various activities, including competitions and exhibitions.
Valentine's exhibition at Gallery Du 808, Bristol
December 2018 I was contacted through Instagram by Gallery Du 808 in central Bristol, who had already chosen three pieces they would like to show in their Valentine’s-themed exhibition it was holding in February. I got my chosen paintings ready but before I could take them to Bristol I sold one to a collector in Switzerland. So, I painted a new work, Truly Madly Deeply (below), to replace the sold painting. It’s a lovely gallery, set in a pretty shopping arcade in the city centre
Art brings new life to empty shop space
October 2018 Direct Art Action is a huge exhibition space set in a former British Home Stores premises in the Gracechurch Centre in Sutton Coldfield. In its own words it ‘showcases the artworks of local, regional and international artists, supporting artists and grassroots artists’. Three paintings from my BOOM! series were exhibited in the space. They had a whole ‘wall’ to themselves which showed them off perfectly.

September 2018 Several of my paintings were exhibited at Cambridge Contemporary Art Fair, courtesy of UK Artists Online. The event took place at in a luxury 1,000 sq metre marquee in the grounds of Quy Mill Hotel & Spa, Cambridge, and was the eastern region’s largest sale of 20th and 21st century paintings, original prints and sculpture. It was a great venue and a very well-run event providing a fabulous chance to talk to many gallery owners and other artists.
Works on display at Gallery 6, Newark
June 2018 Gallery 6 in Newark approached me, having seen my work on Facebook. They wanted to show some of my larger paintings in particular. It’s a beautiful gallery – light and airy and over two floors. My work is on display until October.
Capital ideas in South London
February – May 2018 Over the last few months I have been exhibiting at Capital Art Gallery in Eltham, South London, almost literally in the shadow of the 02. It’s a terrific space and they have some great ideas for promoting artists’ works. It’s been a great experience working with them.
Art 'on the road' with Little Van Gogh
August 2017 From August 2017 to the present, my art has been ‘on the road’ thanks to a collaboration with Little Van Gogh, a company which provides artwork for display in corporate headquarters, reception areas, meeting and board rooms. They have been showing ten painting from my City Lights series in a ‘rolling exhibition’ at various prestigious offices in London, Manchester and Guildford. Each exhibition last two weeks. It is great to see my work ‘in situ’
The Cult House/Creative Debuts exhibition in Shoreditch, London
September 2017 I took part in an exhibition organised by The Cult House in collaboration with Creative Debuts. I showed two paintings at a fantastic venue, The Black And White Building, in London’s ‘trendy’ Shoreditch. Starting Over, one of my paintings, was considered to be the ‘standout’ piece in the exhibition. Despite non-stop rain, the event was a great success.
Fusion 2 Exhibition
April 2016 I was The Cult House’s Fusion 2 exhibition was stage at The Underdog Gallery, London Bridge, London just a stone’s throw away from The Shard. Once again, Cult House founder J.A. Neto hosted another very successful event and I was proud to be involved. The painting behind me in the photographs is called Feels Like Heaven, and it is now in its new home in Switzerland.
